PICCININI NAZZARENO "NED" February 13, 2013 Age 85. Mr. Piccinini died early Wednesday morning at his home in Shelby Township. He was with his family when he passed. Nazzareno is survived by his family: his daughter Patricia Piccinini (Chris Griessel), sons Ned Richard Piccinini (Sarah Klomp), and Dr. Robert G.G. Piccinini. Grandchildren Ned Andrew Gleason, Courtney Gleason Lane (Jerry Lane), Nathanial Piccinini and Anna Piccinini. Also survived by his long time companion Mrs. Adele Bucci. Mr. Piccinini emigrated from Italy as a young man, and epitomized the entrepreneurial spirit in every sense of the word. His achievements include the founding of National Precast Inc., which was at one time considered the largest Precast Company in the Mid-West. Staying close to his Italian heritage, Mr. Piccinini was also recognized by the Italian Government for his work with immigrants, bestowing on him the honor of il Cavaliere - which is the equivalent of knighthood. Visitation at the Sterling Heights Chapel of Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. Fifteen Mile Road (at Schoenherr) Thursday 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Friday 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with evening Rosary 7:00 pm Funeral begins Saturday 11:00 am going in procession to St. Therese of Lisieux, 48115 Schoenherr, Shelby Twp. 48315 (N. of 21 Mile Road), for 12:00 noon Mass. Ned was Past President of the following organizations; IACC, IASC, AIO, Italian Sons and Daughters of America, and he was avid Red Wing fan. Mr. Piccinini will be remembered by many of his friends and loved ones for his generous nature, enthusiasm of life, and his rock solid integrity. Share a memory at www.bcfh.com.
