EMIG RALPH 91, of South Lyon, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2012. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy, and his five children: Tom (Diane) Emig, Nancy (Phil) LaDuke, Mary (Don) Nelson, Joyce (Mike) Areddy, and Paul (Angie) Emig. He was also the proud grandpa of 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Ralph taught math and engineering at Lawrence Tech University for 10 years before going on to become a respected automotive engineer at GM for more than 30 years. He was an avid tennis player, and he loved spending his summer days at their cottage in Stoney Point, Ontario. He was always the happiest when surrounded by his family. He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him for his gentle spirit, his humble disposition, his endless patience, and his huge heart. JOHNSON HELEN DOLORES passed peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, February 20, 2012 in Southfield, Michigan. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Arthur and Corinne (Schneider) Johnson and her only sibling, Arthur Johnson, Jr. After retiring from the Dearborn Michigan School System as a Physical Education teacher, Helen divided her time between Florida, Dearborn and Oxley Beach, Ontario, Canada. Her last home was in Henry Ford Village in Dearborn. Helen was a lifelong excellent athlete, playing on an early women's baseball team and an international field hockey team. Golf and swimming were her retirement sports. Genealogy and anything related to Charles Schultz cartoon characters were her greatest interests. She was a world traveler and learned German in order to pursue family genealogy research. Interment will be with her family in Colchester, Ontario, Canada.

McCLAIN FLOYD JOHN 89, died peacefully in his sleep on March 7, 2012. Floyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jean (Brady). He is survived by his two devoted daughters, Colleen Volpe and Maureen McClain and adoring grandchildren Brady Goode, Devin Wozniak and Casey Goode. Floyd grew up in Grayling, Michigan and served as the 1940 GHS class president. He enjoyed the area's hunting, fishing, and golfing opportunities when he wasn't working at the Rialto Theater or tending bar at Duke's. After serving in the Navy during WWII, Floyd moved to Detroit and worked at J. L. Hudson Company for thirty six years. Floyd is also survived by brothers Jerry (Wilda) and Robert (Marilyn), sister Sally (Pappendick), sisters-in-law Rita McClain and Sally Tobin, and brother-in-law Robert Brady (Marilyn). Floyd's life will be celebrated in a private mass at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Redford, MI on Saturday, March 10, 2012.
